Zoë Love Smith is a multidisciplinary artist working with image and sound.

LOST MY HEAD ON A PEDESTAL is a cross-disciplinary project in which music and visual art emerge from the same artistic world.

The drawings are directly inspired by the emotional and conceptual world of her upcoming EP of the same name, created in collaboration with producer and guitarist May. By highlighting fragments of the lyrics, she places emphasis on them or gives them a different meaning. She has been using this form in her work for some time: as notes or meditations on texts she wants to remember. What began as something small and intimate — in notebooks or on pieces of cardboard pinned to the wall — has now been translated into larger works for this exhibition.

On view at Badhuis from 1 May until 31 July.

Our favourite season is back: mussel season! We’re celebrating with the Badhuis Mussel Weeks. Every week, we’ll be serving a new surprise mussel special for just €17.50 per person. Book here.
